This evening, my mother treated us all to a dinner at Bricco's in Kent, Ohio. The company included My sister, her boyfriend Cody and his family, along with Chris, myself and mom. Mom considered it a Pre-Thanksgiving meal. It was a beautiful, chilly night that called for family, friends and laughter and hopes for good food.
Bricco's is located in Kent, Ohio in the newer downtown area, better known as the "cool/hipster" area. As soon as i walked in, i felt the positive vibes of laughter, cheer and warmth. Below are some pictures of Bricco's and it's vibe.
I ordered the Five Cheese pizza which had mozzarella, cheddar, feta, goat and Parmesan on a bed of marina sauce for 10 bucks. Chris and I split it. It tasted like something good old Pizza Hut could whip up in a minute, but it was decent. Everyone else ordered something filling such as steak, ravioli and salads. Oh yeah, dessert was defiantly in the works for ordering. I ordered an Apple-Pop Tart-Pastry thing with real vanilla ice cream. I could tell it was real because of the vanilla beans in it....right?
Being the true Germaphobe i am, i had to check out the bathrooms. You see, for me that's a must. It's like watching Sex In The City with a martini or a few in hand. It's a must, people. I think of it as a staple to my whole food blogger experience, in other words. My rule of thumb is if there is hot water in the bathrooms that the restaurant must be clean. As i walked in, i saw the funky sink and push not pull door and i was immediately won over.
Monk would approve.
Overall, the food was a soild B, but the company was a true A+. If you're looking for cool vibes and OK food, Bricco's in Kent, Ohio will satisfy your craving.
